About MYO

Rooted in community, built for youth well-being.

Mizizi Youth Organization was founded in 2020 in Mombasa to strengthen mental health, social support, and holistic community resilience.

Our Story

From grassroots conversations to structured community programs.

Mizizi Youth Organization emerged from conversations among young leaders who recognized that stigma, limited support systems, and lack of accessible mental health services were undermining the well-being and potential of many young people.

The organization was formed to provide structured programs that promote mental health literacy, social support, rehabilitation, referrals, and holistic well-being among youth and wider community members.

Mission

To promote mental health, dignity, resilience, and opportunity through inclusive, practical, and community-led interventions.

Vision

A community where youth and families can access support, speak openly about mental health, and thrive socially and economically.

Core Belief

Healthy minds and empowered youth are foundational to resilient communities.
